I cannot be the only one who has thoughts that will not shut up. Try as I may, the remain within, lingering and festering, turning into wretched obsessions that have been known to keep me up at night. And these are not so much thoughts about people or events in my life. No, sadly, these are thoughts about fashion. Dresses, shoes, necklaces, Alexander McQueen, ShopBop, you name it and I have probably created dark circles from lost sleep over it. The problem is, these are all things of love and excitement. I see something and it gets rooted so deeply within my mind that I excitedly keep bouncing it like a child with a large beach ball. Touch it, see it float, it comes back and touch it again. Maybe you wonder why I call this "festering" then if it is love? Because, in my mind, obsession is a festering that won't leave and these love obsessions won't leave!!! But anyways...
Speaking of festering loves, I saw this post about Mark Charles boots on Refinery the other day and cannot stop wondering at how cool they would be if they were on my feet. P.S. Mark Charles - I am a US size 7.5. They are at once sexy, feminine, tough, and sturdy. Aren't these all of the things we, as females, try to be anyways? And now that comes in shoe form. Pairing this with something lace seems like a good first look in a long line of possibilities that can be explored with them. Plus, lace is de rigueur right now and for those of you who are party to that. A sweater as a topper that is much more interested than the average J. Crew crewneck. It has been gathered, buckled, and twisted in so many ways as to make it less sweater and more remnants- in the best way possible.
...go away, come again another day...
Until next time,
